From Stan Rossowski," We continue our examination of the nature and qualities of relationships in this true story of two young men growing up to become petty criminals, one of them addicted to drugs and alcohol. My work in the past few years has brought me into contact with many people whose lives have followed a similar trajectory and I was struck, on previewing “What Doesn’t Kill You”, by the realism of the story and the genuine quality of the characters in this movie. I would very much encourage any colleagues working in association with corrections and justice to join us for this exploration of life “on the street”.
On another note, Mental Health Week is coming up from May 1st to the 7th. For the first time in Cineasanity’s three years of existence we have an opportunity to contribute to the activities of the week with a special presentation of two beautiful and amazing films depicting “creative living with a bipolar disorder”. This special event will take place on the evening of Friday, May 6th. Please mark your calendars."
